We made it thtough Nebraska and well into Wyoming on Thursday. Cheyenne and Laramie were not much. After a little walk around we moved on. The country out here reminds us of the old "High Plains Drifter" movie with Clint Eastwood. The sky and land is so big, it alters your perspective. Stayed in Rawlins, Wyoming Thursday night. There's so much constuction - they seem to be laying a huge pipeline. Friday was a drive through the rest of Wyoming and into Salt Lake City - which was very interesting. Stopped at the Bonneville salt flats - amazing. The Pathfinder was a little loaded down for a real fast time though. We then drove into Nevada and stayed the night in Elko - Casino country Marion!
Weather has been in the mid to upper 90s during the day - but dry - actually feels good.
Looking forward to seeing Winnemucca, NV where Bill's parents spent a year on a construction assignment. Then we are on toward Reno.

If you had that Great Salt Lake under the Big Sky, you have some open space!!
Sounds like a great trip.
